Mulled Wine
Warm your hearts with a piping hot glass of mulled wine made with Anise & Clove’s mulled wine spick pack.
Equipment
- large saucepan
- ladle
Ingredients
- 1 Anise & Clove mulled wine spice pack
- 200 g caster sugar
- 2 bottles red wine
- 1 clementine optional
- 4 slices orange
- 4 slices lemon
- 4 slices lime
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, add in the sugar, orange, lemon and lime slices. If using clementine, add in the skin and squeeze in the juice.
- Add in contents of the spice pack except for the star anise. Pour just enough wine to cover the sugar. On medium heat, bring to a simmer.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally until sugar has completely dissolved then bring to a boil. Boil for 4-5 minutes or until it becomes a thick syrup.
- Turn down heat to low, add in the star anise and the rest of the wine. Gently heat for 5 mins until its warm. Serve and garnish
